Delete your StoryHop account
StoryHop is a reading app for children, run by Aleksandr Gorin (StoryHop), Germany. This page explains how a parent can delete their StoryHop account or individual child profiles, and what happens to the data.
Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time. It takes effect immediately.
In the app (Android or iPhone)
- Open StoryHop and go to the parent area (enter your parent PIN).
- Open Privacy.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
On the website
- Sign in at storyhop.io/login.
- Open the parent area (enter your parent PIN) and go to Privacy and data.
- Click Delete Account and confirm.
By email: write to privacy@storyhop.io from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm by email and delete the account within one month, usually much sooner.
Deleting your account immediately deletes:
- your account (email address, name, password or Google/Apple sign-in link, app language);
- all child profiles and their learning activity: reading progress, quiz and riddle results, XP, badges, streaks and statistics;
- consent and confirmation records;
- paywall statistics events;
- child-device login codes, the parent PIN, sign-in sessions on all devices, and the random account token used to link purchases.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- Delete a child profile: in the app, go to the parent area, open the child's profile and tap Delete. This immediately deletes that profile, its learning activity and statistics, its consent records, its paywall statistics events and its child-device login codes. Your account and other profiles stay.
- Stop paywall statistics for a child: in the parent area under Privacy, turn off Paywall statistics for that profile. No further events are stored; events already stored are deleted after 90 days, or earlier if you ask us.
- Anything else: email privacy@storyhop.io and tell us which data you want deleted.
What we keep, and for how long

Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically
Deleting your account does not cancel StoryHop Plus. To stop future charges, cancel the subscription in the store where you bought it:
- Google Play: Play Store app → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → StoryHop → Cancel subscription.
- Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → StoryHop → Cancel Subscription.
We cannot cancel store subscriptions or issue refunds; refunds are requested from Google or Apple.
